Belpre High School Student Council is a member of the Ohio Association of Student Leaders (OASL). This summer, we were able to send three students to the the OASL Summer Workshop at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Attending were Summer Colvin, Bella Morrison, and Lila Dugan. OASL strives to encourage leadership skills in students across the state and hosts a variety of workshops and events for students. Summer stated, "The OASL workshop was a great experience for us to learn how to become a leader, encourage us to take positive risks, and how to be yourself!" Bella reported that she "never thought she'd be able to make such close connections to people in such little time, but OASL has proved me wrong. The week taught me to never say never and believe in myself. I am so fortunate I was able to go...now I have to carry on by taking positive risks now that I'm back home. It's now or never." Students are pictures with BHS STUCO Advisor, Mr. White who attended IMPACT Day with the students. I.M.P.A.C.T stands for Inspire, Mentor, Partner, Advocate & Connect Together. Ohio IMPACT Day is a unique part of the OASL Summer Workshop program designed to connect OASL students with community leaders, educators, and organizational partners who support leadership education and development for students across Ohio. This half-day program involves a speed networking session, a camp-wide team-building activity, and a service project! Participants packed bags for families at the local Ronald McDonald House during the service project. Mr. White is serving a two-year term on the state executive board for OASL and looks forward to getting more students into activities like the ones these students attended this summer.

Did you know that you can access our districts Curriculum Maps that our hardworking teachers have created and implement throughout the school year? Just click the link! https://www.belpre.k12.oh.us/documents/district-office/teaching-and-learning/curriculum-maps-and-blueprints/654275 The Curriculum Blueprints were developed by Belpre teachers. We continue to create and refine our Curriculum Blueprints as we learn, teach, and collaborate throughout the year. For courses where Curriculum Blueprints have yet to be created, either state standards or district-created curriculum maps are being used.

Attention all families of students that just completed grades 7-12: Attached you'll find directions on how to access your child's Ohio State Test (OST) score reports from spring testing. All students in grades 3-6 received their scores on the last day of school with their report card. State achievement tests tell us how well our students are performing in the knowledge and skills outlined in Ohio’s Learning Standards. These tests help guide and strengthen future teaching so we can be sure that we are preparing our students for long-term success in school, college, careers and life. Test results also allow citizens to know how their local schools are performing compared to others around the state.
