Congratulations to Coach Regina Leftwich and the Belpre Lady Eagles on a big opening night win over Meigs, 69-47! The Lady Eagles we're paced by Julia Way and Gracie Bills, each with 20 points. A couple of changes for this weeks athletic schedule. There is no JV girls basketball game tomorrow night with Meigs, due to them not having a JV team. Varsity will tip off at 6:30 at Belpre High School. Also the Jr High girls game at the elementary school scheduled for Tuesday 11/28, is canceled due to Marietta St Mary's not having enough girls for a team. We are working on finding a replacement for later in the season.
11/27: Girls varsity at home vs Meigs 6:30pm
11/27: Boys varsity scrimmage at Frontier 6pm
11/30: Girls JV and varsity at home vs Fed Hock (JV starts at 6 with varsity to follow)
11/30: Girls Jr High(8th grade only) at home vs Caldwell at 6pm
12/2: Boys JV and varsity at Alexander (JV starts at 6 with varsity to follow.

The kindergarten class had the chance to work with the high school in the S.T.E.A.M Engineering and Life Skills Lab. With the help of the high school students, the kindergartners decorated cookies, created a craft, and made their own ceramic ornaments to take home to their families. We can’t wait to see this partnership grow!

Congratulations to Belpre cross country/track athlete Blake Rodgers on signing his national letter of intent to continue his career at Division 1, Wright State University. Columbus BlueJackets are hosting a winter training session in Athens. The sessions are open to children ages 5-10 and is eight weeks long. Hockey equipment is included with the $135 registration fee. The sessions begin January 9th.

It was great to see our pottery group at the OSBA Capital Conference, at the Student Achievement Fair! These students represented Belpre well while showcasing their talents with educational leaders from
across Ohio! Many thanks to Mr. Stevens for preparing and supporting the students during the event.
